In the dating marketplace everything you do conveys information.
Men including me make the following mistake with regards to attracting women.
“We deny ourselves equity in the dating market by not making enough approaches.”
Let’s say for a second a specific man and woman are equal to a pair of starting cards.
Anywhere from AA to 72o.
If you are an average to a bit above average man who is let’s say a 7-6s and you want to date a woman who is anywhere from 10-10+ to AQ+ then you have to understand 2 things.
- You are of lower value and therefore have an equity disadvantage in relation to this range.
- But you still have fucking value and equity no matter how small it may be.
The key here is to make approaches all day long and realize that 41% equity is still equity.
In the long run the equities in most situations run close enough.
To say a woman is “out of your league” is a massive mistake.
Don’t deny yourself the equity you still have, you can have several outs and the cards can run out in your favour. Hell if you’re smart you can spin cards in your favour.
There are men who are like KK+ and AKs & AKo who still get rejected by women who are like 6-4s.
This is because dating is a game of massive variance.
To say that you will make fewer conversions in relation to a certain range of women is fine.
But you will still make conversions.
The key is to ignore short term variance and realize your equity in the dating market by making MANY approaches.
A man who makes 15 approaches a day will get a few numbers and a few dates each day.
It’s just math.
In poker losing one buy in is just another day of work. Same with winning a buy-in.
Success is made over millions of hands not hundreds.
The point is to have a better dating life, making many approaches is the way to go.
Until next time,
