Naive Realism and Subjective Reality

December 16, 2020 by Angus Baynham-McColl Leave a Comment

My belief system is opposite to “naïve realism”.

Subjective reality means that consciousness is the primary container of every-thing and I do mean every-thing. You observe as a self-aware consciousness that you will never have a frame of reference for any of your eternal life outside of consciousness. There is only one consciousness which is God. Your true-identity is consciousness, and you are God.

Naïve realism states that you are conscious because of your brain. The brain has nothing to do with the generation of sentience. The brain is not even something that exists. Brains simply don’t exist, they are part of the hallucination designed to make you feel like you got an explanation. Physics, chemistry and biology don’t actually exist. Everything works through the magic of explanation.

In this present moment, you can’t see your own brain. The brain is an appearance that seems to explain a lot, and altering the brain will alter the appearance of what the person perceives. This doesn’t mean the brain makes you aware, and a radio signal doesn’t depend on one radio to exist.

If you take drugs and see that other people behave differently around you, it’s got nothing to do with being under the influence. It’s because other people are part of your own dream and altering the dream by taking substances will cause other parts of the dream to show up differently.

When a person gets drunk, they still have clear consciousness, the actual awareness that a person has doesn’t diminish while under the influence. The thing that changes is mind-body connection, but the observant mind is never changed. This shows that a brain is not responsible for the generation of consciousness. The software and hardware of the mind are working together, but the software is not generated by the hardware.

It’s important to know that the self you think you are, the ego (and not the one and only consciousness in the universe) doesn’t exist.

Your body contains no consciousness.

Your body is a machine that has sensory input that consciousness observes, at least if you believe in naïve realism. The truth is sensation comes from being, you are what you see. There is nothing outside of you. The observer and the observed are the exact same thing.

The one God is not an entity, and the whole universe is made of nothing. The reality of the situation is that nothing is forever going on and on.

We think reality is made of substance and that appearances have something more to them than what is seen. The truth is, the one present moment is the whole universe, there is no physical aspect to reality. Life is all make-believe and imaginary.

There are no objective ethics or rules. There are no people with sentience. Sentience comes from consciousness, and consciousness is totally impersonal. People come from consciousness, but consciousness doesn’t come from a person the way the ego makes it seem.

To know thyself is to know no self.

There is no fixed past in your reality and no future, what exists is a present moment that always changes. The notion of past and future can be accessed through imagination, but think for a second that reality is all imagination. There is only one imagination in the whole universe. You designed all of this to explore yourself fully.

Other people are just the same as your own physical body, there is no consciousness there. There aren’t multiple consciousness. The problem of others is brought up in LOA talk all the time, there is only one thinker in the whole universe. You with a capital Y are the thinker reading this now.

Every thought has creative power, and when you realize you are God, then life will be better for you.

If you judge another, realize there is no entity doing the judging and nobody is being judged. You are nobody, and you are going no-where and staying now-here.

Science has it wrong when they say there is such a thing as death. They are wrong because death requires a person to have properties of consciousness. Since a person has no mind of its own, and is a projection of the one consciousness, its fair to say that when you see someone, they don’t think.

Your own body doesn’t think either, only thought thinks.

You are made of thoughts and awareness and this has nothing to do with a body.

When you are in a dream and you end up knowing you are dreaming, you can never know how you got there.

Taking reality at face value, you can’t know how you got here because you didn’t come from the past. The present moment is the whole universe, no more no less. Memories and anticipation are a product of imagination. This moment is the only moment you will ever have.

Phenomena will change in the moment, but since everything is made of nothing, nothing changes. Nothing is the same thing as what we call something. When your physical body dies, you will fade away into another life and carry on in another body, but you have no prior recollection of past lives because there is no past. All lives are lived at the same time, to be experienced forever, you will re-spawn in another life, if you die in a dream you wake up in your bed.

You are the dreamer that is placeholding the entire dream. There is but one dream in the universe, there is never anything going on behind the scenes. There is nobody, the universe is all made up, we just say its real because there will never be a moment outside of right now. There is no other moment to compare the present moment to, any reference to another moment can only be made in this moment.

Science is something you are imagining because you want an explanation of the mysteries of life. There is nothing to figure out about life, we will never get to the holy grail of understanding.

There is literally nothing going on, and nothing to understand.

Life is about exploration and many spiritually minded people try to get out of the present moment and achieve nirvana. Nirvana is here and now, the key is to understand that enlightenment is everywhere, its not something a made-up self can possess.

Any notion of self is void because the whole universe is imaginary and made of nothing.

There is no substance to anything in the universe, and there never will be.

You get to explore the universe like it’s a big playground. I think that the main thing about enlightenment is to understand that there is no self to get it.

Awareness is always aware of the whole universe, and nothing exists outside of the one awareness.

Naïve realism will contend that there are many points of awareness, but there is nothing that is aware.

For something to exist at all, it must be part of what awareness is aware of. Atoms, stars and galaxies are part of a story you were told to make sense of reality. The ego is that part of you that makes you feel like you exist, but upon dis-solving thoughts there is only awareness. Awareness is not an object either, it literally is the imagination of what you witness. You are all your observations.

If you see a room and see a dog in it, you are that dog.

You are the dog experiencing the dog.

When awareness is made primary, the subject and the object disappear.

There is just a sensation of phenomena. Emotions like fear and hope come from ego, and they are made of the idea that the present moment has a future and a past, there is no such thing.

You designed the whole universe, and you are now a limited version of consciousness exploring it.

Life is an adventure with no destination. There is no real meaning to life, all meaning is based on imagination.

This way of seeing things will hit like a ton of bricks but the ego will try all day to get it, remember there is no self to try and get this information. It’s also meaningless to try to solve the mysteries of life.

Until next time,

Angus Baynham-McColl
